Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently two years through the four-year contract he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the maiden important trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
