During an extensive chat, he shared with the podcast host: “I stated I will never coach any other side in England. So that means if then it’s Liverpool...absolutely. Theoretically it’s possible.”

“At 58 years old, so I might decide later on, who knows. Do I have to make the decision today? If so, I wouldn't return. But thank God, it's not necessary. I can just see how things unfold.”

What Would Lure Him Back?

Questioned regarding what circumstances must arise to bring him back to management, he revealed he isn't eager for a comeback. “I'm not entirely sure, I enjoy my current role,” he commented. “I don't crave being a coach; No desire to be under bad weather for lengthy sessions; I don’t miss going to media briefings multiple times weekly or doing numerous chats each week.

“No nostalgia for the changing area as a dressing room, however, dining out with the players enjoying conversation, is pleasant. With many victories meaning regularly positive atmosphere at the club. I still have Van Dijk's laughter ringing in my ears as an instance.”

Praise for His Successor

He commended of the current boss, acknowledging his role due to the changes which secured the championship last term. They've been defeated four consecutive matches in every contest following significant transfers, though he denied the idea of it representing a decline.

“[Liverpool have] an incredible striker such as Wirtz, critics will regret if you use the wrong words. An outstanding player. Ekitike, superb talent. They have a strong thoughtfully assembled roster. Fans shouldn't fret regarding the Reds, they will be fine.”

Heartfelt Words for Diogo Jota

The manager expressed deep feeling on the loss of the Portuguese star, a 2020 acquisition in 2020, and its impact on Liverpool. Jota lost his life in a car crash together with his sibling this past summer.

“Who can fill the void of somebody like Diogo? It goes beyond his footballing ability, his personality mattered. I struggle to conceive the team environment without him in it. I find it difficult to discuss on this topic. A profound tragedy for the entire squad too. No one within the club would cite it for poor performances though it's a fact. Entering the changing area which he filled completely. Dealing with that emotionally is challenging. Overwhelming.”
