The Renowned Musician Encourages Public Help to Propel Palestinian Solidarity Track to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to launch a Palestinian lullaby to the peak of the festive singles chart. The effort seeks to deliver assistance to communities in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian artistic heritage.

An Opportunity for Solidarity and an "Chart Upset"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who features on the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a opportunity to support Palestinians over the Christmas period. He acknowledged the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be fantastic if that occurred, yes,” he commented. “I’m not gonna be completely disappointed if it fails to, festive releases are a category of their own.”

Powerful Theme of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the reimagining of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the piece's powerful central theme.

“The song holds a very special place for a lot of people,” Barghouti shared. “The message is that I would rather die in dignity than exist without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we desire to exist a respectful existence that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Contributing Musicians

The track was produced following a major charity concert held in late summer. Initially planned to be performed and recorded live, the performance was omitted from the lengthy event due to the event running long.

The diverse array of musicians appearing on Lullaby includes a range of well-known figures from the scene. All took part in the September show, which reportedly raised a significant sum for charitable causes.

Final Touches and Availability

Lullaby was crafted by a team of producers and composers. The single showcases a fusion of the heritage language with new English lyrics.

The organizers behind the campaign have emphasized that their aim is to generate maximum funds for a dedicated fund. These donations will be allocated to Palestinian causes through an established charity.

“There is no a specific target,” a spokesperson commented. “We’ll go for whatever we can get. Of course, the greater the amount, the better. It all goes out to the people of Gaza.”

The context in the region was noted for its profound destruction, with a vast majority of property said to be levelled or seriously harmed.

“Given that reality, a few million is unlikely to make an enormous impact. But I think what truly matters is primarily making this cause better known and showing there’s another side to the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is launching at the end of the week. Additionally, a video of the benefit event will be made available for streaming on a major video platform from later in the month.
